Cliché alert! This entry may be filled with overused phrases, so please be warned – all about love and inspirations.

Its always groovy to be in love. Well, pick your own adjective to describe being in love. What’s more inspiring though is catching a glimpse of two people submit themselves to this inescapable feeling. This is not about me, its about my friends who decided to join hands in sickness and in health. Each story is unique and sometimes funny, yes, I am guilty of pushing some of friends to enter this correlations but I think I did no wrong since they end up being together. Hehe.

One-winged Angels

he, a one-winged angel,
strolls in kaleidoscopic world,

his cinnamon eyes
seek the other half of her feathered limb;

she, a one-winged angel too,
strolling in kaleidoscopic world,

meets his cinnamon eyes,
and sees the resemblance of her feathered limb;

then, they fly together
towards the cloudless azure skies.

Mymy and Lean. Mymy’s my bestfriend since high school. I first met Lean in Batangas after I was invited by Mymy in one of the province’s fiesta celebrations. My first impression – he seemed decent. You know I have to protect my friend since she is like a sister to me. Now, they were married a day before my birthday two years ago. But I wasn’t able to witness it since I just signed a new contract in Japan. Too bad, how I wish I was really there.

Joje and Detdet. These two were active student leaders in our university student government. Joje is my closest pal in Chemical Engineering then. I think theirs was the longest relationship I have seen before they finally decided to settle down. I can still recall how we skip classes when they have issues and problems. Never mind those calculations and experiments. During their wedding, I was one of the groom’s men, should have been the best man. Haha, of course, just kidding.

Eric and Donna. This was one of the surprising loveteams. Who would have thought, Eric, was one of our barkada in ChE and Donna, an Accounting graduate is my neighbor will end up being together. Theirs blossomed after their respective board examinations. He was very quiet about their relationship that we didn’t know already existed. I just found out when Eric handed me a wedding invitation. I did the first reading – how appropriate. Nice job, man.

Francis and Tintin. Francis is one of the three younger guys (myself and Keats) in Fibertex Corporation. The generation gap with the other employees made the 3 of us bond. During one holiday, I saw Francis with a young lady in Powerbooks. I told him, you are not single then. After two years, Tintin was my officemate in Chiyoda Philippines. We were assigned in Japan together and I told her that she and Francis would make a great pair. I always said these lines to Francis too. Haha. Now they’re married.

Bryan and Janine. It all started when he borrowed her notes for photocopying. Bryan is a silent killer, hehe, while Janine is known to be a conservative lady. I think aside from Bryan’s intention, the constant teasing served as a catalyst to pursue his plans to Janine. They were together since they started their majoring in ECE. I missed their wedding though.

Gisele and Fred. I was wrong. I partnered Gisele to other guys and Fred to other ladies too. But it was really great to see them as a couple. He seemed reserved while Gisele talks at 1000 word per minute. Compatibility, eh? Hehe. Well, that’s the power of love over forced phenomenon.

Mamang and Nonoy. Mamang was already married when I met here. But seeing these two its like seeing a couple starting a relationship. They did have some marital problems but I am glad they were able to overcome it. Now, they are in love like teen agers once again.

Shout-out to my other friends whom I really didn’t get the chance to know and bond with other halves. I wish the best too – Ms Beth and Khai, continue to inspire us; Tina and Emmanuel, one of the bubbliest couples I have known (through their pics); Peace and Pastor Edward, theirs was bonded in His presence.

I think it is but fitting to express my hopes to my other friends who are into promising relationships. Dorb and Sarah, hehe, my brother and his gf, continue to love each other; Ai and Dash, no more jealousies please. I am not a guidance counselor hehehe. Jo and Benj, don’t mind the overseas barrier, let love be your hearts’ link. Emer and Yui, don't worry about the language barriers.

To all these potential couples in the future, go and multiply LATER!

And as for me being single, go and multiply alone. LOL!
