Today, my blog turns 10 - that is a decade of blogging, shooting, and distilling thoughts. For the past ten years, I always see to it that I have at least one blog entry per month. Checking the number of posts, I have a total of 354 including this one - an average of 3 blogs per month.

My first DSLR camera, Nikki, also turns 10 this year. I remember buying it without any knowledge of what a DSLR camera is. I was convinced by my friend to get one after he saw my photos on flickr. I started photography in 2006 with a reliable point and shoot camera Casio EX-240.
Recently, I was also given a loyalty award for my 10 year of service as a company engineer. I never thought that would be an omen. This year, I was cut by the company due to current crisis being faced by the oil and gas industry. The company had no choice, and I was kind of expected since we didn’t have enough projects for the past two years. Funnily though, I started this blog when I was unemployed and now I am celebrating my 10th year, well, without a job. Ah - what a decade can do.
I can’t wait for what the next decade brings. I believe it will be another roller coaster ride.
